Frequently Asked Questions
No - we are a self-catering venue and do not offer any catering services. We are happy for you to have food/groceries for your camp delivered prior to arrival or during your stay, please discuss this with us before making arrangements.
No - we currently do not run or take responsibility for the organisation of any games or activities. However we are more than happy to assist with ideas and point you in the direction of on-site and off-site activities and attractions.
On-site activities include: Trampoline, Swings, Skate Ramp, Lawn Games (Kubb, frisbee golf, corn hole, ring toss), Pool Table, Tennis Table, Slip 'n' Slide.
Yes. There is plenty of space for tenting if you require extra accommodation or if you would prefer to have a tenting experience. We also have 6 powered sites available for caravans and campervans.
If you're group is unable to complete cleaning tasks due to travel or limitations within your programme or group, we may be able to offer a cleaning service, this service will incur extra fees. Please contact us to discuss this further.
Wifi is available in the Hall upon request for teachers, leaders etc.
We have a maximum capacity in the bunkrooms of 64-66 (double beds in the hall bunkrooms). Groups can extend the accommodation capacity by brinings tents & caravans/campervans. The facilities of the site start to reach capacity at 80 people, if your group exceeds 80 people please get in touch with us to discuss your booking.
Yes, we have accessbile bathrooms in the hall and the ablutions block. The hall is accessible via a ramp and all the buildings are connected with concrete pathways. We have 1 bunkroom that is wheelchair accessible.
Yes. There is plenty of on-site parking through the main gate. Parking is not permitted next to bunk rooms or on the main field, except with permission from the manager.
No. We only hire out the park to one group at a time - the place is all yours!
Yes. We a require a deposit of $250 per night of booking - this deposit is non-refundable. Your booking is confirmed upon payment of this deposit. Please see our bookings policy (/book-online)for more information.
Yes. Our minimum fees are:
$350 per night Off-peak (April - October)
$500 per night Peak (November - March)
Please note these fees are not an additional cost. They are the minimum amount you will be charged per night if your group numbers do not meet these fees.
Booking changes are at the discretion of the Hibburt Park manager and subject to availability. Please refer to our bookings policy f(/book-online)or terms and conditions.
Cancelled bookings are not entitled to a refund of their deposit.
If a group cancels their booking within 1 week of arrival they are required to pay the full cost of their booking. Please see our bookings/cancellations policy (/book-online)for further terms and conditions.
Subject to availability, yes we are open to day hire bookings. Please contact us to discuss this further.
As our key focus as a campsite is to accomodate large groups, we generally do not accept bookings of groups below 20 people.
However, subject to availability and only at short term notice, we may be able to offer 1-2 nights of accommodation to individuals/small groups who have self-contained or semi-self contained vehicles, e.g campervans, caravans, vans. Please contact us to discuss your circumstances.
Bunk room accommodation:
Adults $25 per night
Children* $17 per night
Non Powered Tenting/Caravan accommodation:
Adults $12 per night
Children* $10 per night
Powered sites are an additional $10 per site per night.
*Children are ages 5-17 years old, or young people who are in primary/secondary education. 0-4 year olds are free.
Minimum fees

The above fees include access to all facilities for the dates of booking.
Additional fees apply to:
Early check-ins, Late check-outs, Gas bottle hire, marquee hire, cleaning/rubbish removal services, penalties for damage or breach of booking agreement.
No. Hibburt Park is an alcohol, smoke and drug free zone. Please see our Alcohol/Smoking/Drug policy.(/book-online)
No. We do not allow any pets or animals on-site, this includes dogs on leads. Please see our Pets/Animals policy.(/book-online)
Yes! James and Beccy are our on-site staff, their house is nextdoor to the camp facilities. You will be provided with their contact details prior to your arrival.
Yes! One of the most common comments we recieve is on our neighbourhood roosters...These live next door to Hibburt Park at the wildlife park and they have a tendancy to crow at any time of the day AND night! We suggest bringing earplugs if you are a light sleeper or staying in tents/caravans.
