Accommodation

Bunk rooms

We have 11 rooms in total, with a maximum capacity to sleep 66 people.

2 bunk rooms sleep 6 people per room, 7 bunk rooms sleep 8 per room.

There are 2 'Family Rooms' that sleep 4 people, they contain a queen/double bed and a set of bunks. Family rooms are attached to the hall, but with external access only. Heaters can be supplied for all rooms during the winter months.

Powered and Non-powered sites

Hibburt Park has plenty of space for tenting. Groups are welcome to use a mix of bunk rooms and site space for accommodation, or can choose to exclusively tent. We have 6 powered sites available for tents and caravans/camper vans. These sites are for the use of the hiring group only, we do not offer permanent, short or long term stays for individuals/couples.

Amenities

Hall

Our hall consists of a large communal space, a fully equipped kitchen, small lounge, laundry and bathroom.

Bathrooms & Showers

Toilets and showers are in seperate adjacent buildings, with gas heating for showers and within 30m of all bunk rooms. Our accessible bathroom is located within the shower block, conveniently within 10m of our accessible bunk room.

Outdoor Kitchen

Our outdoor kitchen has BBQ's for cooking and bench and sink space for cleaning up. There is an outdoor shower attached to help wash off sand from the beach or mud from the forest.

The Chapel

The Chapel is an additional small breakout space for groups to utilise for meetings, hang out area or a quiet place.

Activities

Indoor Games

Within the hall there is a pool table, table tennis and carpet ball. Groups are encouraged to bring their own board games.

Outdoor Sports & Play Equipment

We have a large playing field suitable for team sports and games, as well as a moveable volleyball net. A basic half-pipe is located in the main carpark area. Hibburt Park does not supply any sports balls/equipment or skateboards. A trampoline with safety nets and a swing set are available year round.

We have 8 single sit on top kayaks available for hire to explore the river, or for those who are more advanced, the waves! We can supply PFD's and helmets are highly recommended. Through SYC Trust we also have Sumo Suits and an inflatable ring available for an additional hire fee. The ring can also be used as a bouncy castle, suitable for preschool children only.
